Redwork Sunbonnet Sue Progress

I got the sashing and borders on, and the top is finished. Retirement is wonderful, getting so much done!

Applique Affair Block # 8

My handwork project is moving along. I finished the block and see that one of the leaves is wonky. I'll leave it on the design wall for a while and see if it bugs me enough to do over.

A Ten Year Old UFO

This is a redwork Sunbonnet Sue alphabet quilt. I started embroidering the blocks in 2000 before our quilt show that had a redwork theme. Obviously didn't get done in time for the show, and the last block was embroidered in about 2005. I put it on my 2011 UFO list and am now putting the sashing on.

TQS Triangle Exchange

I signed up for the Sisterhood of the Travelling Triangles exchange on The Quilt Show forum. Edyta Sitar was on the show last week; and she is coming to our guild in July! I've got 140 HSTs ready to mail; and will take them to the post office tomorrow. It's 0 degrees today so I am staying home; we've been promised 32 degrees tomorrow!

"Birds-in-the-Air" Done

Put on the binding and it is finished. I started making these blocks in 2004; collected 1800's reproduction fabrics mostly from guild bus trips and LQS's too. This is an Eleanor Burns Quilt-in-a-Day pattern. Six years later I have a quilt! This in number one on the 2011 UFO list.
