Mulling over whether to hand guilt the top, I'm thinking of a Baptist fan design.

Another cool thing I learned in Elly's class: how to make a 1/8 inch bias stem by folding a 3/4 inch strip in half, placing the raw edge against the line, hand stitching down the middle of it, then bringing the fold up over the seam allowance and tack stitching it down.

Back in My Sewing Room

I'm putting together Raspberry Truffle triangles into rows, it's going slowly because of my need to match up so many points. To take a break from that, I got out my overflowing basket of selvages and made some selvage quilt blocks. That is a lot of fun-goes fast sewing them onto foundation muslin and then trimming up.

Some Zen Machine Stitching

After a day of shopping, some quality time stitching along by chain piecing with my Bernina! These are half square triangle units for "Raspberry Truffle" in double pinks and browns, a kit I bought at an NQA show in maybe 2002?
