Here are my quilts that I entered into the show this year: Churn Dash and Presidents on railing (not voted on), Chocolate Charms, Mabon Fans, and Evening Stars (of Hope).

Snippets Project Done

Got finished in time for the show, here it is hanging on display.

"Shawnee Forest" Snippets Progress

Got the white-on-white border on-looks much better. Doing the quilting with monofilament thread.

Selvages

I found Karen Griska's book "Quilts from the Selvage Edge" at the library about a year ago, and have been saving selvages. I entered a contest to win my own copy of the book. Hope I win! My basket is full and I'm ready to start a quilt.

IL Sampler Postponed

The answer is no, not this year. I've got tendonitis in my shoulder (probably from pushing the big President's Quilt through the machine to quilt it); so I'm resting it to heal. Instead I'm finishing the snippets project "Shawnee Forest" to put in the show. Tried a border using an off white with small blue print, but I don't like it-looks muddy from a distance.(see photo) Bought some bright white-on white, hopefully the third try will be the charm. Started the project in Cindy Walter's class June 2008.

Illinois Sampler continued

Resumed machine quilting Illinois Sampler that I began last Oct. Will I get it done in time for the Quilt Show the end of March?

Finished President's Quilt! Took it to guild meetings last week for show and tell.
